Bachelor ‘s degree in Economics for Egyptians from the American University in Cairo 2019
The American University in Cairo, Egypt, in cooperation with Orascom Construction Company Limited, is offering a scholarship program for Egyptians. The program aims at Egyptian high school students who can not afford to study at the American University to study the Bachelor’s degree in Economics and will provide them with high academic achievement and leadership skills. This grant is provided in the form of annual support for high school graduates from eight governorates in Upper Egypt. These governorates are Assiut, Beni Suef, Minya, Sohag, Fayoum, Qena, Luxor and Aswan.
The scholarship covers full tuition fees for Egyptian students from eight governorates in Upper Egypt: Assiut, Beni Suef, Minya, Sohag, Fayoum, Qena, Luxor and Aswan.
Applicants must be public or private high school students and have a financial need.
That the secondary level is not less than 95% or equivalent in any other assessment system.
Students must pass either an IELTS score of at least 6 in general and a score of at least 6 in the Writing or TOEFL with a score of at least 76-82 in general, and At least 20-21 in the writing section.
The deadline for applying for this grant is June 13, 2019.
Selected students may have the opportunity to spend a semester or a year at the University of Chicago.
Students benefiting from this grant will acquire skills and knowledge in areas related to economics that are essential to Egypt’s social and economic development.
Students will participate in academic discussions and specialized training workshops to provide them with practical knowledge of economic and social needs, the functioning of economies, how the Egyptian economy works and adapt to changing local and international economic conditions.
The selected students will also benefit from free arts education at the American University and inclusive student services.
