In some cases, the Institute can provide joint supervisory arrangements with colleagues from other Loughborough University London institutes and from research teams based at Loughborough University’s East Midlands campus, for example the School of Social Sciences and Humanities.

Benefits: Loughborough University will offer a tax-free scholarship of £ 17,285 per year plus tuition fees at a rate of £ 4,407 in the UK.

PROJECT DETAILS

The Institute wishes to recruit an excellent PhD student in the subject area of diplomacy and/or international governance.

The successful candidate will join the Institute for Diplomacy and International Governance which has a reputation for research of academic excellence and real-world interest. This is a field of study that lends itself to interdisciplinary, innovative and applied research.

The Institute are looking for candidates who wish to join them either to further their current projects which span digital diplomacy, post-Brexit and bilateral diplomacy, diplomacy for peace and security, the politics of diplomacy, and experimentalist governance; or to bring something new in these fields. The Institute would like to hear from candidates whose background – academic and/or professional – offers potential for international collaboration, and who wish to join a dynamic and diverse campus – Loughborough University London – that is research-intensive with an entrepreneurial emphasis.
