About the University of Tabuk
The university is located in the city of Tabuk in the northwest of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. It was established in 1427 AH and in 2006 AD by order of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz Al Saud. University history
The establishment of the University of Tabuk in 1427 AH, 2006 CE, represents an explicit expression of the insightful vision of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Abdullah bin Abdulaziz, may God have mercy on him, in spreading higher education in all regions of the Kingdom. Currently, there are more than 1659 faculty members in the university, of whom 40% are female, and the number of students exceeds 36,000 students. The university seeks to be a beacon in the fields of education and development. The main campus of the university is located in the city of Tabuk, in the Tabuk region, which is located in the northwest of the Kingdom. And based on the university’s commitment to serving the people of the region, the university has established many branches in all governorates of the region. The area of the university campus is 12 million square meters, and the university has come a long way in the completion of the university city, and work is still underway to complete the housing project for faculty members and permanent buildings for the faculties of medicine, applied medical sciences, science and business administration. Obtaining academic accreditation from national and international institutions is an important indicator of the quality of the educational process. In this aspect, the university seeks to implement the standards of the National Center for Academic Accreditation and Assessment in the Kingdom before the end of the year 1435 AH (2014 AD). King Saud University
Established in 1957, King Saud University comes sixth in the 2021 edition of the QS Arab Region University Rankings, and joint 287th in the latest world rankings. Of a similar level of prestige to King Fahd University, it has more of a focus on the life sciences alongside engineering. In the QS World University Rankings by Subject 2017, King Saud University is ranked among the world’s top 150 for mechanical engineering, agriculture and pharmacy.
