7 REASONS TO CHOOSE ROMANIA FOR STUDYING

YOU PROBABLY KNOW

While probably the most known thing about Romania is the legend of Dracula, Romania is much more than that.

Choose your program, plan your trip, Romania is ready for you!

Romania is a great place for you to study, diplomas are recognised all over Europe and beyond. In addition, the Diploma Supplement (DS) issued automatically with your graduation diploma is bilingual and thus ensures transparency of learning outcomes and improves employability. Here are some more…

1. You have a solid university degree recognised all around Europe and beyond. Romanian Higher Education is known for its rich academic heritage.

2. World’s fastest Internet – Ranked 3rd place in the world, Romania has ultra fast internet connectivity.

3. Study in English, French, German, Romanian or Hungarian. Romania has a wide choice of university programs.

4. Low tuition fees and living expenses – While maintaining our academic standards, we have some of the lowest tuition and living costs in the European Union.

5. Cultural life – Bucharest offers more than 40 museums and Romania has the second-largest outdoor museum in the world, Astra Museum in Sibiu.

6. Work opportunities and quality of life – There are a number of possibilities to work as a student: you can apply directly to vacant positions published online.

7. A great place to travel – The home of seven UNESCO world heritage sites, Romania is a country of many facets.

GETTING AROUND THE COUNTRY WE INVITE YOU TO

discover the many facets of Romania. It can be either a one day trip, a tour across the country or maybe a long weekend.

We’ll start with this for obvious reasons – convenience. If you’re thinking of going from one part of the country to another, for example from Bucharest to Cluj-Napoca, Timisoara, Oradea, Suceava or Iasi, you should consider catching an internal flight.

Why? Because the 450 km between Bucharest and Cluj-Napoca which takes about 6-7h by car or 8-10h by train takes only 40 minutes by plane – and for a very affordable price. That’s why it’s the best way of travelling longer distances in Romania.

There are 3 low-cost companies (WizzAir, RyanAir and BlueAir) and the national airline Tarom that operate internal flights in Romania connecting major cities around the country.

– the most popular routes such as Bucharest to Cluj-Napoca or Timisoara even have 3-4 flights each day with different companies – so be sure to check all of them. Ticket prices start from €10 (per way) and can go up to 50-70€ if you buy them 2-3 weeks in advance and some companies like BlueAir give let you check-in 1 piece of luggage for free!

So if you’re short on time and want to see as much of Romania without the stress and hassle of extra-planning, it’s worth saving time and energy and looking at internal flights. It’s a cheaper option than renting a car and definitely much faster than taking the train or bus for long-distances.
